We are a warm and friendly church who loves the Lord and desires to serve Him. Our services and ministries are intended to glorify God and bring people face-to-face with God’s Word, which is quick and powerful (Hebrews 4:12) and able to change people’s hearts and lives.
As a church, we strive together to serve and glorify God in all our ministries, encouraging one another in our walk with the Lord, diligently praying for one another and caring for each other during the trials and tribulations of life.
Our Ministries
Some of the ministries that we currently offer include youth and children’s ministry, men’s and women’s ministry, outreach and evangelism, prayer ministry, worship and music ministry, and discipleship groups.
Sunday Services
EVERY SUNDAY MORNING FROM 9:00-10:30
We meet every Sunday morning from 9:00 – 10:30, which includes a time of prayer, a time of worship, a time of expository preaching from God’s Word and a time of fellowship together with some tea and coffee. Our services are simple and relaxed, yet orderly and reverent. You will be greeted at the door by some of our members who are there to make to feel welcome and to answer any questions you may have. We have no formal dress code, come as you are and as you feel comfortable.
Sunday School
FOR ALL CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 3 AND 12
We love children and strive to include them in our morning services. We have segment called ‘What’s in the Box’ during our worship service where we invite all the children to come to the front and listen to an object lesson from the Pastor. The Sunday School class begins at the start of the morning message, during which your child will sing songs, hear a Bible lesson, complete a small craft or drawing, and spend some time playing outside. We are always looking to improve and grow our Sunday School, and our experienced teachers work hard to ensure that your children enjoy this time.
Babies and Toddlers
FOR CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 0 AND 3
We have a cry room/crèche facility for those parents who have children between the ages of 0 and 2. We have a variety of toys, puzzles and books available to entertain them during the morning message. Our speaker system is wired into the crèche so parents may still listen to the message while their little ones explore the various toys and activities. Our crèche room is also equipped with changing facilities for when the inevitable happens. Don’t stress if your child screams or cries, we know these joys of parenting and rejoice in the blessing God has given us through the children He has given us.
Midweek Bible Studies
EVERY THURSDAY EVENING FROM 19:00 – 20:30
Our midweek Bible studies are designed to be relaxed and interactive as we pray for one another and consider the truths of Scripture together. They normally follow a particular series or theme developed by the Pastor, such as the Attributes of God, Evangelism, or the End Times, over the course of about twelve weeks. While considering what the Bible teaches concerning a particular issue or theme, we encourage participation and give everyone an opportunity to ask questions to the Pastor so that we might grow together in our knowledge and understanding of God and His Word.
College and Careers
SINGLE ADULTS AND YOUNG MARRIED COUPLES
Our College and Careers ministry is a fellowship group that gets together every two weeks with New Germany Baptist Church to enjoy a time of fun, fellowship and teaching from God’s Word. We usually get together on Saturday evenings, but this may change depending on the event or activity we decide to do (e.g. Bike hike along the beach front). Our ages range from anything between 19 and 40, but we are not particularly fazed and welcome anyone who wants to join. The atmosphere is relaxed as we seek to unwind from a busy week and simply enjoy each other’s company.
Rooted - Teen Youth Ministry
EVERY SECOND FRIDAY FROM 19:00-21:30
Our Rooted Teen Ministry is a ministry collaboration between Grace Baptist Church and New Germany Baptist Church for all teens between the ages of 13 and 19. Our leadership team spends a lot of time developing and designing fun and exciting activities that are both safe and wholesome, and are always enthusiastically received. As with all our ministries, we also spend time in God’s Word, focusing specifically on teen-related issues and areas in order to provide them with a Biblical worldview during this critical stage of their development and growth.
